I have worked in the Industry for over 12 years as an Arboricultural contractor, with involvment in Sheffield City Council Parks and Woodlands, Environment Agency River clearance and a varied range of large contracts.
I'm currently studying an Advanced Diploma in Arboriculture along with a Technicians Certification, to further my position as a manager and company director. As I have aquired unique skills and a wealth of experience along my journey, I believe my greatest attribute is connecting with my customers. I truly believe that you always come first, and that your satisfaction is my number one priority.
Personally, I have a passionate connection with the outdoors, have a heart for the countryside, wildlife and nature. I have a true appreciation for the landscape that surrounds our great city, and trees are certainly in abundance in Sheffield. As one of the greenest cities in Europe I offer a service that actively encourages this, retaining trees of stature where possible, and planting native species to encourage our natural wildlife and heritage.
Rock climbing has been a passion of mine for many years, and I enjoy these connections between work and pleasure and I feel this is reflected in my business.
I consider myself to be an outdoor enthusiast and have worked in this industry ever since I completed a college course in Outdoor Activity Leadership. I trained and qualified as a rock climbing Instructor and over the years of teaching, I have learnt that patience and understanding is key when building peoples confidence especially when their threshhold is challenged in a sport such as rock climbing.
For the last 6 years I lived in British Columbia, Canada, immersing myself in the Mountain culture, taking every oppourtunity to rock climb, ice climb, ski, trek and enjoy the endless wilderness that this vast country has to offer. Working on the mountains and in a local climbing wall at Whistler my passion for the outdoors grew and this is when I thought the idea of combining my rope skills, love for heights, wildlife and the countryside could be found within one job. This lead me to my current position as an Arborist.
